POSITION SUMMARY
The Inpatient and Emergency Service line's Clinical Practice Specialist is a Registered Nurse, using critical thinking skills, coordinates and ensures safe, quality care to patients in a family centered care environment utilizing the nursing process. In addition, this RN maintains Best Practice by monitoring compliance through the Performance Improvement process. S/he serves as a resource to guide, educate, transition and mentor new hires into the care specialty. S/he assists with bedside procedures, equipment set-up, and ensuring clinical staff are adequately prepared and can apply knowledge and skills at the bedside. S/he assists with nurse, physician, and patient satisfaction and assists them by navigating them through the care experience to ensure the best possible experience. S/he educates staff, ensures staff competency and application at the bedside, and assists in the evaluation of the clinical staff. S/he will work in conjuction with the leadership team to oversee the clinical application throughout the orientation process.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor Degree
Experience: 2-3 yrs
License Registered Nurse
Certification
- BLS/CPR (Americal Heart Association)
- PALS
- ACLS (Americal Heart Association)
- NIH Stroke Certification within 60 days of hire
- TNCC INEXPERIENCED: (within 2 years of hire of transfer)
