Position Summary

Responsible for overseeing hospital wide quality initiatives. Develops overall PI plan having evaluated medical center risks, and governmental quality guidelines. Responsible for overseeing hospital wide compliance to TJC standards and AHCA compliance including the Risk Management Program.

Qualifications

Education: Must have Bachelor’s Degree (patient care related field preferred). Master's of Nursing Degree preferred.

Experience: At least 3 years of experience (five years preferred) with progressive responsibility working in a hospital quality/performance improvement and/or patient safety department; Those at the novice (no experience) or beginner level (less than 3 years’ experience) must complete the National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF) curriculum on patient safety within 120 days of hire. 

License: Registered Nurse in the state of Florida- Bachelor’s Degree (patient care related field preferred).  Master’s in nursing preferred. 

Certification: Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) [Preferred]; Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) [Preferred]
