Florida Coast Medical Center, a new state-of-the-art hospital in Port St. Lucie, Florida, is set to open its doors on September 9, 2025. As we prepare to serve the growing Treasure Coast community, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Laboratory Director to lead our clinical laboratory services.
Located at 310 SE Veranda Falls Way, near the Florida Turnpike interchange at Becker Road, our 220,000-square-foot facility will offer a comprehensive range of services, including 24-hour emergency care, neurosciences, orthopedics, spine, robotics, general surgery, urology, advanced cardiac care, and diagnostic services.

POSITION SUMMARY
Leads and directs laboratory personnel whose primary responsibilities are the collection and testing of specimens in order to provide physicians timely accurate lab test results. Oversees a wide variety of administrative and technical activities; responsible for revenue and operating budgets and a personnel staff. Works closely with Pathologists. Insures compliance with regulations/standards and maintains accreditations and licensures. Demonstrates commitment and accountability for implementation, communication, and monitoring of all functions of the Laboratory.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Clinical Lab Science or one of the chemical or biological sciences
Desired: MBA, MHA, MS with a B.S. degree in Medical Technology
Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience with at least 3 in managing a clinical laboratory
License: Florida State Clinical Laboratory Supervisor
Certification: N/A
