MRI TECH FULL TIME
The MRI Tech performs a variety of technical procedures applying magnetic resonance imaging skills to demonstrate cross-sectional anatomy for the purpose of detecting pathology. This employee performs procedures utilizing MRI scan table, gantry, and computer console equipment. This employee must also utilize independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity when performing technical procedures. Manages and monitors equipment used to acquire cross sectional images. Develops and organizes diagnostic quality MRI scans prior to giving them to the radiologist for interpretation. This role requires the ability to work with all age groups of patients and physical conditions, to include pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. This employee will be responsible for delivering high quality services, and to interact appropriately with patients and their representatives, physicians, and co-workers; and will safely manage the environment of care while providing patient care and services. Willing to be part of the call team.
Essential Job Duties:
- Responsible for day to day operation of MRI equipment, including patient imaging, making sure equipment is performing optimally, and quality control according to ACR guidelines.
- Responsible for the safety of any and all patient’s and personnel entering the magnetic field.
- Interacts closely with radiologists and other medical personnel to ensure studies are performed adequately and in a timely manner that adheres to hospital policies and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining appropriate licensing and certifications.
- Responsible for understanding patient workflow criteria involving PACS and RIS systems.

Completion of ARRT program required
At least 1 year of experience preferred
ARRT or ARRT with MRI registry preferred
TDH and CPR required
