Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Exercises overall supervision of the department. Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and disciplines the employees according to the general personnel policies of the hospital. Will identify, study, and assist in resolving problems relating to the department. Manages staff assigned to the department. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited Imaging Program (US, NM, MRI, or XRAY)
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 years technical experience and/or 2 years at a management level.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent depending on specialty. If employee holds an accreditation such as ARRT in ionizing radiation, then they must maintain a current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license.
REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
