Entry Level Interventional Radiology Tech FT Days

Rad Technologist II is responsible for operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of body as ordered by the physician. Positions and instructs the patient for radiological and fluoroscopic examinations, adjusts the x-ray equipment, and determines the proper voltage, and current and desired exposure time for each radiograph. Understands radiology information and PACS systems utilization and operation. This is an entry level Interventional Radiology Tech position requiring a 6 month dedicated and focused hands on training teamed with on-staff Interventional Radiology Technologists.



Qualifications:
Required Training/Education/Experience/Certification: (1) AA or AS degree in Radiological Sciences (2) CA CRT and Fluoroscopy (3) BLS (4) Deliverables: Complete Training within 6 months.
a. Measurable benchmarks with specific time intervals that identify skills and competencies will be expected to be met on or before the end of the 6 months training period.

Desired Training/Education/Experience/Certification: (1) One or more years experience; (2) ARRT. Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment. Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must be fluent in spoken and written English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
