Supply Chain Coordinator

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to be responsible for managing all incoming shipments, verifying accuracy of deliveries, and ensuring timely distribution of supplies, equipment, and materials throughout the facility. This role supports the hospital’s supply chain operations by maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating with vendors and internal departments, and adhering to regulatory and safety standards. The coordinator ensures that all products are received in good condition, properly documented, and stored in accordance with hospital policies and infection control procedures.
Qualifications:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document discrepancies, damages, or shortages and coordinate with vendors for resolution.
- Ensure proper labeling, routing, and delivery of supplies, materials, and equipment to appropriate hospital departments in a timely manner.
- Maintain an organized and clean receiving dock and storage areas in compliance with hospital safety, regulatory, and infection control standards.
- Record all receipts into the hospital’s inventory management or ERP system accurately and promptly.
- Inter-professional collaboration with all clinical, nursing, supportive, technical, diagnostic and administrative departments department to ensure efficient workflow.
- Manage special delivery requests as necessary.
- Assists in the identification, isolation, and implementation of protocols for product recalls.
- Manage returns of damaged or incorrect products and ensure credit or replacements are processed promptly.
- Assist with periodic and cycle inventory counts, stock reconciliation, and audit preparation.
- Coordinate with biomedical engineering and plant operations for receipt, asset tagging and staging of minor and capital equipment.
- Contribute to a culture of teamwork, service excellence, and continuous improvement within Supply Chain Operations.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal departments and external vendors, maintaining a professional and service-oriented demeanor at all times.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Valid Texas Drivers License
- Required: Experience in hospital or healthcare materials management.
- Preferred: Proficiency with inventory or ERP systems (e.g., Cerner, Lawson, MediTech, Oracle).
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities, emergency requests, and fast-paced hospital environments.
- Basic computer proficiency (inventory management systems, MS Office).
- Effective communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of clinical supplies and sterile handling procedures preferred.
- Must possess the physical ability to push, pull, lift, move, unpack, and break down materials and equipment daily, utilizing tools such as a box cutter, pallet jack, rolling cart, flatbed, footstool, and step ladder. Responsible for safely breaking down and discarding pallets in accordance with departmental safety standards.
- Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Work may involve exposure to moderate noise, moving mechanical parts, and varying environmental conditions.
