The hospital is a 122-bed acute care hospital which includes a diagnostic center and birth center. POSITION SUMMARY:

Perform the professional functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient in regards to lactation education. Coordinate, manage, provide and delegate patient�s lactation needs with other staff members as a consultant. Responsible for meeting the established Standards of Nursing Practice, and promoting cooperation among the health care team. In addition, the Registered Nurse shall meet personal accountabilities as defined in the Tenet Target 100 standards of Service, People, Quality, Growth and Cost.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

(1) Graduate of a school of nursing. (2) Basic computer skills. (3) 2 years lactation education experience. (4) Must be bilingual Spanish

Preferred:

(1) One-year acute care RN experience.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

(1) Current California RN license, (2) AHA-BLS-HCP. (3) NRP (within the first three months) (4) Certification as a lactation educator.

Pay Range: $45.08 - $69.86
Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an employee’s qualifications and experience.
