Medical Interpreter Per Diem Rotating

Fluency in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Ability to accurately work in consecutive mode and sight translate into and from working language(s).
Proof of medical interpreting training from an accredited program– minimum of 60 hours and added trainings, webinars, conference attendance, etc.
2-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting as a medical interpreter with strong medical vocabulary (including vocabulary of medical specialties, to interpret for our medical specialties departments).Applicant ideally should be in the path for National Certification and/or motivated to become National Certified as a Medical Interpreter.
Knowledge of computer systems.

Excellent interpersonal skills, to maintain harmonious relationship with all levels of Hospital’s personnel and patients.
Ability to inspire professional respect and trust in dealing with complex, sensitive, and emotional issues.
Organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to set priorities, and problem solving skills.
