Financial Analyst Full Time Days

Financial Analyst Full Time Days Position Summary
Accountable for preparation and/or evaluation of statistical, financial, demographic and/or valuation data for internal and external customers including regulatory agencies, payers, and management of the organization. Record, report and/or monitor fiscal and budgetary operations, including development of variance analyses, while supporting the vision and direction of the organization and its various product/service lines. Prepare financial forecasts and special financial studies; administers budget process. Interpret and identify financial problems and researches effective solutions. May perform detailed cost accounting analyses or other highly specialized analyses as deemed necessary from time to time by a more senior level financial analyst or management within the area of Financial Resources. Frequent communication with customers, co-workers and management. Effectively support efforts to evaluate and analyze date to manage change and innovation as well as foster teambuilding. Responsible for the analysis of financial operations and information to provide decision support to executive staff.
Perform statistical, cost and financial analysis of data extruded from various internal sources.
Prepare reports based on findings, including health care costs, provider contracts, debt capacity, revenue and profitability.
Analyze and model financial impact of current and future clinical and business trends.
Assess detailed cost trends including labor productivity, supply usage and other variables impacting the cost structure of a department, entity or the organization as a whole.
Provide budgetary framework to evaluate fiscal success of organization at multiple levels.
Analyze causes of operating variances through interviews of key personnel, assessment of productivity levels and utilization trends in supplies and other expense categories.
Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes. Assist with budget review for compliance and opportunities.
Serve as consultant to all levels of management to provide decision support for initiatives, policies and procedures.
Perform special projects and duties as assigned, including research, forecasting and exploring viable alternatives.
Identify financial problems and researches effective solutions.
Level 2 – Proficient (in addition to above duties)
Participate in department operations improvement efforts through implementation of short and long-term goals. Provide feedback on processes and procedures.
Utilize accounting skills to assess, plan, implement, monitor projects and document work while working on complex projects.
Level 3 – Subject Matter Expert (in addition to above duties)
Design and implement routine or ad hoc reports.
Consult and advise financial management on technical or operational problems identified through the accounting and reporting processes.
Recommend changes and new procedures and protocols based on identified needs.
THE FINANCIAL ANALYST FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
Required: Bachelor degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting.
Required: 4 years relevant business experience and benchmarking, including 3 years analytical experience.
Preferred: 5 years relevant business experience in healthcare industry.
Required: Team building, problem solving, critical thinking, good interpersonal communication (both written and oral), technical knowledge in accounting and finance areas.
Required: Accounting and Finance principles.
Required: Strong computer skills in business analytic tools such as Excel, personal computer applications.
