Manager Perioperative Business Services FT Days Position Summary

Under the leadership of the Director of Perioperative Service, the business services manager will assist in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating support services and systems, operational and capital financial management, block scheduling, data analysis and reporting, and revenue management activities within Perioperative Services. Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity, which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity and innovation. Engages in review of daily key performance indicators and monthly operational results. Provides direction and leadership in the preparation of variance analyses, investigations of reasons for major variances, develops and presents potential solutions.

MANAGER PERIOPERATIVE BUSINESS SERVICES FT DAYS WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

PREFERRED EDUCATION: MBA

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years experience in a comparable setting

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Previous experience coordinating operations and management activities. Proven financial and resource management skills. Highly developed analytic skills. Highly developed human resource management skills. Highly developed interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. Expertise in quality management. Computer literacy in Word and Excel.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Requires excellent analytical skills, i.e., budgeting, process improvement, and outcome measurement. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

SUPERVISES: OR Schedulers, dotted line to OR Materials and Data Base Administrator.
