Radiology Manager Full Time Days Position Summary

Manages the daily operations of imaging services.

Responsibilities

Plans and implements the overall diagnostic imaging policies, procedures, and services for several departments which may include nuclear medicine, MRI, radiology, computer-assisted tomography and ultrasound.

Assesses quality of patient care and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.

Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, conflict management and other job related issues.

Oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.

Oversees the monitoring of departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations.

Coordinates and assists in the care of patients to deliver timely, high quality patient testing results.

Assists in the selection of equipment, supplies and goods for the running of the department and the caring of the patient with the goals of quality and cost efficiency.

Assists staff in problem-solving work issues, and adapting to the focused patient care environment.

Monitors the efficiency of the unit’s operations and recommend improvements.

THE RADIOLOGY MANAGER FULL TIME DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION
License Required: Registered Radiologic Technologist with Arizona Radiation Regulatory Agency (MRTBE) and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Certification Preferred: Registered in at least one (1) advanced imaging modality (e.g., CT, MRI, NM, etc.).

EDUCATION
Required: Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology and one of the following: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Health Administration, or equivalent experience.
Required: National Incident Management System (NIMS) class to be completed within 6 mo of position date.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Required: Five (5) years related imaging experience, two (2) years in a supervisory position.
Preferred: Seven (7) years related imaging experience, five (5) years supervisory, and knowledge of managing multiple imaging modalities (e.g., CT, IR, MA, MRI, NM, US, and XR
