Specialist, Operations Communications - Carondelet Health Network - Onsite based in Tucson, AZ

We’re seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Operations Communications Specialist to support day-to-day communications for Carondelet Health Network leadership. Reporting to the Director of Communications – AZ, CA & TX, this role plays a key part in executing strategic initiatives, managing communications projects, and supporting executive messaging across internal and external channels.
You’ll collaborate closely with the Communications Manager – Abrazo Health (Phoenix) and the Director of Communications to deliver impactful communications that elevate Carondelet’s brand, engage stakeholders, and support organizational goals.
This is an on-site, hospital-based position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of strategic communications plans aligned with company objectives.
- Create compelling content for a variety of channels, including press releases, executive memos, patient and employee stories, media pitches, video scripts, and social media posts.
- Manage daily communications tasks such as maintaining media lists, distributing internal communications, and organizing executive bios and headshots.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance Carondelet’s visibility through media coverage, website features, and social media engagement.
- Assist in crafting materials that highlight executive achievements and recognitions.
- Partner with the marketing team to help them execute hospital events.
- Monitor and report on media coverage in real-time to inform strategy and response.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field is required.
- 1–3 years of experience in corporate or agency communications.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and other communications tools.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong team player with a proactive mindset and a commitment to excellence.
- Must be able to travel locally up to 50% between Carondelet St. Joseph and St. Mary Hospitals. Possible travel to Holy Cross in Nogales once or twice per year as needed. Selected candidate will be required to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check.
