FCPP- Radiation/Oncology office- position is on-site in Turlock CA (NOT REMOTE)
Radiology/Oncology experience is highly preferred

The Coder works independently on a daily basis responsible for coding OP Ancillary, Clinic, and ED outpatient accounts with a high degree of accuracy.

  1. Review medical records to code patient charges
  2. Review physician documentation and perform audits to determine accuracy
  3. Updates late charges and processes in a timely manner
  4. Review tasks and corrects codes as needed
  5. Prepare reports as requested by operations team
  6. Provide training for physicians and staff to improve coding outcomes.

Qualifications

Education:

Required: High school diploma/GED required 
Preferred: Associates Degree

Experience:

Required: At least 6 months of billing and coding experience 

Certifications:

Required: Must be certified for outpatient coding. 
Certifications may include one of the following: AHIMA (excludes CCA) OR Certified Professional Coder (CPC)/ Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) OR Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) etc. 
In addition, candidate must be willing to obtain ROCC within the first two years of employment.

Pay Range: $27.67 - $42.88 hourly **Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
