The Assistant Director, Rehabilitative Services supports the Director of Rehabilitative Services in managing clinical operations, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role blends administrative oversight with clinical expertise to promote operational efficiency, exceptional patient outcomes, and professional development among staff.

1. Assist in the day-to-day management of outpatient physical therapy operations.
2. Supervise and support physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and support staff.
3. Ensure compliance with clinical policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
4. Coordinate therapist scheduling to maintain efficient patient flow and maximize productivity.
5. Provide direct patient care as needed, maintaining a partial caseload.
6. Participate in staff hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and ongoing training.
7. Lead or assist in departmental initiatives, including quality improvement, patient satisfaction, and community outreach.
8. Monitor clinical outcomes, patient volumes, and referral trends to support strategic planning.
9. Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Medicare, insurance requirements).
10. Represent the clinic in meetings, partnerships, and marketing efforts as needed. 11. Assist in protocol development and implementation as needed
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy required, Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred
- Licensed physical Therapist in the State of Florida
- Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR for Healthcare Provider required
- 5 years clinical experience in outpatient physical therapy preferred
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage clinical staff and workflow in a high-volume outpatient environment
- Proficient in EMR systems and outpatient billing/documentation requirements
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuing education
- Comfortable with both orthopedic and general musculoskeletal, adult and pediatric caseloads
