Clinical Dietitian Full Time Days Sign On 5K
Up to $5,000 Sign On Bonus available based on experience
Clinical Dietitian provides both direct and indirect supervision of Diet Technician, Registered (DTR). Co-signs orders written by DTR. Conducts chart reviews and competencies on DTR. Clinical Dietitian provides optimum nutritional care program to the patients through nutritional assessment, development, implementation and re-evaluation of nutritional care plans including enteral and parenteral nutrition support and making appropriate recommendations. Clinical Dietitian provides diet education to patients and families. Clinical Dietitian records findings in the medical record. Must be able to make accurate, independent decisions about nutritional intervention and follow through to ensure superior patient care. Works independently with minimal supervision. Job duties are performed as a licensed dietitian in the State of Florida in accordance with standard professional practices, physician prescription, and general policies. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics. RD eligible with completion of an accredited dietetic internship. Must pass the credentialing examination within one year of hire. Commission on Dietetic Registration required. Licensed Dietitian or Nutritionist in the State of Florida or obtain temporary license within 60 days of hire. Must have permanent license by expiration date of temporary license issued by the state of Florida.
Preferred: Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics. Member, American Dietetic Association
Preferred: Minimum of 6 months as Clinical Dietitian is preferred. Two years experience in Clinical Nutrition in a healthcare setting.
