Summary
The Manager for Medical Staff Services responsibility includes credentialing/recredentialing; FPPE/OPPE; Bylaws; ER Call Coverage; Academic Affiliations and the Hospital's Accreditation to sponsor CME programs.
The Manager, Medical Staff, plans, develops, organizes, and controls the operations of the medical staff office to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of the hospital and to meet the requirements of the medical staff bylaws, JCAHO standards, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory and/or accrediting agencies. The Manger is responsible for oversight of the Credentials process and serves as liaison to the Medical Staff Leadership.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
Required: Associates degree with Physician-based experience.
Preferred: Bachelors degree in healthcare field or equivalent experience;
Experience
Preferred: 5 years experience in Medical Staff, with 3 years in leadership position
Certifications
Required: CPCS. CPMSM within
3 years of hire
Preferred: CPMSM upon hire
