The Cancer Genetics Program Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients and referring Health Care Providers. The coordinator is responsible for triaging patients needs and assuring timely appointments for Risk Assessment and Genetic Counseling/Testing. The Coordinator remains knowledgeable in the field of Cancer Genetics and coordinates all patient appointments, lectures, meetings and community outreach for the ARNP. The coordinator educates patients, staff and referring clinicians about the process of genetic testing, potential costs, testing criteria and access to the cancer genetics program.
High School Diploma
No certification required.
Minimum of two years experience coordinating care in a Cancer Genetics and High Risk program.
