Summary

Medical Technologist II performs a variety of laboratory tests on blood, tissue and body fluids using both automated analyzers and manual methods. Medical Technologist II ensures accurate, timely reporting of patient test results in order to assist physicians in the diagnosis, confirmation, and treatment of various clinical conditions and diseases. Medical Technologist II performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Located at the Good Samaritan Offsite ED.



Qualifications:

Education

Required: Associate degree in medical technology or one of the chemical or biological sciences.

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree from an approved college or university and/or graduate of an accredited school of medical technology.

Experience

Preferred: 6 months to 1 year medical laboratory technologist, clinical laboratory scientist experience in acute care facility.

Certifications

Required: Florida Medical Technologist Licensure

2 shifts per week; 7pm to 7:30am
