JOB SUMMARY

Follows physicians through his or her workday and chart patient encounters in real-time using a medical office's Electronic Health Record and existing templates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Chart patient encounters in real-time during office visits.
Reviews documentation to determine accuracy.
Manage and sort medical documents in the EMR system.
Generate referral letters for physicians.
Assist physician with e-Scribing.
Assist with other office functions as needed.

EDUCATION
Required: High school diploma or GED.
Preferred: 1 year of college.

EXPERIENCE
Preferred: Familiarity with medical terminology.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to work in sitting position, use computer and answer telephone
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, with shift lengths of up to 9.5 hours.
