- Performs technical skills that incorporate the patient's plan of care and comfort measures given to patients.
- Assists with admission, discharge, and transfer of patient.
- Assists patient with activities and care as assigned by the Charge Nurse and/or RN and as indicated by the patient's plan of care.
- Prepares and chaperones patient during examination, procedure and treatments; assists with patient procedures / treatments.
- Documents patient care in all assigned patient records.
- Performs related duties as required.
Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Assists with personal hygiene, takes vital signs and changes bed linens. May serve and collect food trays, provide for between-meal nourishment, and clean, sterilize, store and prepare other supplies. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Required:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Or an equivalent combination of education and related previous work experience.
- Licensure/Certification:
- American Heart Association issued BLS.
- CPI to be obtained during Hospital Orientation
- Certified Nursing Assistant role requires active Nursing Assistant license issued by the State of TN
- Preferred:
- Experience: Preferred 6 or more months of Hospital Experience
- Licensure/Certification:
- Nursing Assistant license issued by the State of TN is preferred for Nursing Assistant roles
