Chief BioMed Tech Full Time Days Position Summary
Coordinates daily operations, including Technician Supervisor, Asset Initializations, and serves as liaison between Biomedical Engineering and Customers. Assumes responsibilities of Biomedical Engineering in the absence of the director.
Responsibilities
Ensures personnel maintain, operate, test, inspect and perform preventative maintenance checks and repair medical electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment. Serves as a resource to employees and customers. Evaluates service processes to continually ensure equipment is maintained in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner. Communicates equipment purchases, preventative maintenance, and repairs. Operates patient safety equipment and understands data. Performs equipment repairs and preventative maintenance checks on all equipment. Submits reports, purchase orders and records. Operates computer and uses network software. Arranges and conducts in-services.
Education
Required: High school graduate or equivalent.
Preferred: Graduate of 2 year accredited college in Biomedical Electronics or Military equivalent.
Experience
Required: 5 years in Biomedical Engineering. 2 years supervisory experience.
Certifications
Preferred: AAMI Certification (CBET, CRES, CLES)
