Practice Administrator for Cardiology Associates
Job Details
The position oversees the operations of the medical group to ensure accomplishment of the Company’s strategic goals and objectives. The Practice Administrator is also responsible new business development including physician recruitment. This position works with physician leadership, Corporate Management, hospital administration, practice managers, practice staff, other clients, consultants and business vendors and serves as a liaison between the various constituents. This position is responsible for the overall operational and financial performance of the all activities associated within the physician group.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Health Administration or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of experience with group practice management. Hospitalist and supplementary/satellite services experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must be a self-motivated individual who can organize, lead, and manage a fast paced growth oriented management company. Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with the Tenet Physician Resources staff and Hospitalists Associates Management Committee Members, physicians, health care professionals, hospital administrators, office staffs, consultants, and other employees. Skilled at reading and interpreting financial statements and other basic accounting practices. Knowledge of third party payers reimbursement system and other managed care systems. Ability to effectively generate new business leads and successfully negotiate contracts. Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner. Excellent public speaking skills. Must demonstrate tact, diplomacy, and good judgment in dealing with clients.

POSITION SUMMARY: Tenet Physician Resources is seeking a Practice Administrator to be an integral part of the management team. This position is responsible for providing leadership and management direction to a large hospitalists physician group.
