Anesthesia Tech Full Time Rotate

General duties for Anesthesia Technician: 

• Demonstrates awareness of patient safety and uses proper body mechanics 

• Maintains work areas and supplies in a ready condition 

• Assures cleanliness of anesthesia equipment 

• Reports the malfunction of equipment 

• Recognizes how the Anesthesia technician's position and duties relate to the overall functions of the hospital for total patient care 
• Assists with Orientation of new hires 
• Utilizes forms and tools for communication, (i.e: telephone, memos) 

• Completes the assigned .EDU as mandated in a timely manner 

• Maintains adequate room supplies as requested by the RN in charge   

• Cleans operating room between cases according to established procedure 

• Assists in the preparation of patient operative areas as requested   

• Assists in positioning of patient under supervision of RN 

• Respects the sterile field and maintains proper distance from the open sterile items as evidenced by maintaining sterility of self, patient, and staff when assisting intra-operatively 

• Demonstrates a consistent level of performance, avoids periods of high and low activity, maintaining a consistent level   

• Continually strives to make the best use of time during assigned shift through careful coordination 
• Fosters teamwork by demonstrating a willingness to assist other staff members work that needs to be completed, willing to stay late in order to finish patient care responsibilities 
• Accepts reassignments willingly when requested 

• Accepts the constructive criticism as means for improving job performance and demonstrates a willingness to learn 

• Demonstrates patience and tact in dealing with patients, their families & personnel
