Up to $5,000 Sign-On bonus based on experience

Position Summary

The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to patients; a working knowledge of pharmacokinetics by assisting the physicians and staff pharmacists in drug-dose relationships; for providing the hospital with a safe and effective way of monitoring drugs to avoid the potential for any toxic reaction; for provision of Nutritional Support functions. Participates in on-going Performance Improvement programs and related clinical pharmacy practices as per Joint Commission and ASHP guidelines.

The Clinical Pharmacist verifies/proposes medicationorders in electronic health record.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • Minimum: BS in Pharmacy required. 
  • Preferred: Pharm D
     

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least one year's previous experience in a hospital setting as a Clinical Pharmacist preferred
  • Good communication skills and ability to relate effectively to hospital staff, department heads, administration and medical staff
     

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION /LICENSURE/ REGISTRATION

  • Current & Valid Florida License as Registered Pharmacist
