1. Provides patient care based on the nursing process as directed by Staff Nurse.
2. Performs delegated patient care functions in compliance with policy and procedure as directed by the primary nurse and/or physician.
3. Performs phlebotomy, IV starts and electrocardiogram as outlines in the procedure manual 100% of the time as observed by Supervisor.
4. Quality assurance, safety, infection control, and professional growth
5. Maintains unit organization and aesthetics as observed by supervisor.
Per Diem Nights
Position Summary: Assists professional nursing staff and physicians with the provision of emergency treatment to patients of all ages. Documents care delivered accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
Education Minimum:
· High School or GED Equivalent
· EMT must have completed EMT course
Experience:
· One (1) year in hospital or nursing home setting preferred.
· CNA completed course preferred.
· Phlebotomy and EKG experience preferred.
· Excellent human relations and oral/written communications skills.
Required Certification/Licensure/Registration:
· American Heart Association BLS
· Healthy Interventions required within three (3) months of hire.
· State of Florida EMT license
