Position Summary
Assists Charge Nurse and Director in the coordination of the OR schedule management. Performs a variety of secretarial and administrative duties, include, but not limited to typing, ordering supplies, data input, charge input, and supporting the daily and month reports. Schedules procedures for the main operating room, outpatient surgery facility and endoscopy. Spending significant amount of time entering post operative data and daily charges into the computer program.

Education:
- Minimum: High School Diploma
- Preferred: Formal computer skill training, at vocational level.
Experience:
- Minimum of two years hospital admitting registration or scheduling experience, or related training.
- Direct data entry in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner as specified by established policies.
- Computer experience/training required.
Other Qualifications
- Able to function under stressful circumstances involving physicians and hospital staff.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Must be able to communicate professionally with physicians, hospital staff, and outside callers.
