We are looking for a Procuement Intern to support our team in Clinical Supply Chain functions of the company such as vendor management, corporate purchasing initiatives, contracting and data analytics. This will give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience while you integrate knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and develop your skills in a professional setting.
Responsibilities
- Develop learning objectives and goals that are structured into the experience within the field of the hospital and clinical supply chain.
- Opportunity to participate and learn about hospital supply chain activities and complete projects that are value added to the business side of healthcare.
- Analyzing data.
- Weekly check-ins with Manager on performance & objectives.
- Willingness to promote academic, career and personal development.
- Opportunity to provide and receive feedback.
- Utilize problem solving skills.
- Assists in special projects, as needed.
Qualifications
- Prefer candidates at the junior, senior, or graduate student level pursuing a degree in Supply Chain or a similar major with strong communication and data analysis skills.
- Exhibits exceptional verbal, written and interactive communication skills.
- Demonstrates effective research tactics, good organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
- Ability to convey a positive and professional image to internal and external customers.
- Commits to continuous learning; being self‐motivated and self‐directed.
- Ability to work independently with sense of urgency to task completion.
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel (advanced skills preferred) and Outlook.
- Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills.
- Interest in learning about healthcare supply chain.
