Summary:

A Patient Care Technician is responsible and accountable for assisting the RN or LPN to provide patient care by functioning as a unit secretary and a certified nursing assistant (CNA).

Qualifications

EDUCATION.

Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

Previous patient care and unit secretary experience in an acute care facility preferred.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:

Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A) or E.M.T. or documented evidence of successful completion of an accredited nursing school program.

Current American Heart Association BLS Certification

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:  
None required.
