Full Time Rotate
Position Summary
The PBX Operator is responsible for supporting the hospital by operating the PBX switchboard. PBX Operators efficiently answer, screen and transfer all incoming and outgoing calls to appropriate locations. Operators also monitor emergency alarms, provide assistance during code situations and activate the emergency notification system Everbridge when directed.
EDUCATION
- Minimum: High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Preferred: Post High School vocational/specialized training.
EXPERIENCE
- Six (6) months to (3) three years experience as a PBX Operator preferred.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION
- None
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Clear, concise speaking ability; able to handle stressful situations; knowledge of computer use.
