Description
Per Diem Rotate
Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high quality, safe, cost effective, total nursing care to all patients. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process. The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, Infection Control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided.
Responsibilities:
- Provides all patients with an optimum level of care.
- Administers all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
- Provides for patient safety during ACU admission
- Provides patient care as applicable to anesthetic agents utilized.
- Assumes responsibility and the coordination of care, in accordance with the Ambulatory Care Unit policies and procedures.
- Performs and fulfills all HICS (hospital incident command system) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and/or disaster. Responsible for knowing the Hospital’s emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adheres to the Hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code. Accepts/participates on assigned Team for Hurricane response.
Qualifications
- EDUCATION:
- Minimum: Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure.
- Preferred: BSN - EXPERIENCE:
- Prior clinical experience in area of expertise preferred. - REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
- Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida.
- American Heart Association BLS Certification - OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- None.
