Job Summary & Responsibilities
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, assists in the administration of Human Resource processes. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, employee files and HR program maintenance, administrative recruitment activities, , and a variety of employment, labor, wage, benefit and clerical support activities. Activities will vary depending assignment. As a customer-focused HR representative, must be accessible, flexible, knowledgeable and responsive to customers’ and team members’ requests.
- Performs a variety of complex support functions that require knowledge of departmental operations, as well
as human resource policies and procedures such as processing request for temporary agency personnel in Contrack Management. - Serves as a backup to on-site support needed to investigate records, analyzes employee DMC history profile and assists in providing resolutions to individual employee problems. Communicates such resolutions to appropriate HRBC and the Tenet Employee Service Center for implementation when needed.
- Provides administrative support to various functions within the department. Gathers, computes, inputs data; drafts standard memos/forms and types documents; organizes and maintains filing systems; prioritizes work flow; schedules appointments, meetings, and classes as assigned.
- Supports facility HR department’s adhoc by performing intermittent duties, sorting and distributing mail, responding to department visitors, making photo identification badges, maintaining adequate supplies, manuals, completing invoices, and performing similar duties when asked to fill in for local facility HR personnel.
- Processes employment verifications and friend of the court requests that are not able to be done by the Work Number.
- Serves as the onsite support to ensure any wet signatures are obtained and provided to Tenet Employee Service Center for processing. Will liaison with Corporate Headquarters to ensure employees have what they need for their immigration forms.
- Creation and maintenance of DMC flow charts and process flows, including but not limited to maintaining SOPs, DMC policy updates and other reference documentation as necessary.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, Minimum of 2 years College Required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Six months to one year of progressively clerical or administrative experience, preferably with Human Resources experience.
Skills Required
Interpersonal and communication skills to interact independently and effectively with all levels of personnel and external customers.
Analytical skill to investigate, identify and resolve problems.
Proficient typing skills with the ability to effectively use various personal computer software and hardware programs.
Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate a variety of office equipment including a personal computer, typewriter, calculator, fax machine and photocopier.
A high level of accuracy is required to manipulate and maintain employee personnel records.
