Why Join Us

Children's Hospital of Michigan has been a cornerstone of pediatric medicine since 1886 — the first and largest children's hospital in the state, and consistently ranked among America's best by U.S. News & World Report. This is a rare opportunity to practice at a nationally recognized program with the academic engagement and procedural volume to match your ambitions.

Why Detroit

Metro Detroit is a bigger, bolder city than its reputation suggests — a region undergoing genuine resurgence with a thriving dining scene, world-class arts institutions like the Detroit Institute of Arts, and the internationally acclaimed Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Outdoor enthusiasts have easy access to biking and hiking trails, water sports along the Detroit River, and the countless lakes that define Michigan's natural landscape. The area is home to excellent public and private schools, strong universities, and a cost of living that makes a physician's income stretch considerably further than in comparable metro markets. Detroit rewards those who look closer — and so does this opportunity.
