Description:

SUMMARY

Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide the very best care for our med-surg patients in our advanced facilities that include a primary stroke center and a long-term acute care unit.

Minimum Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Nursing Assistant Certification or a minimum 1 year of experience performing nursing assistant duties in acute care nursing/hospital setting.


Required Licenses/Certifications

  • Current Nursing Assistant Certification is preferred but not required.
  • Current BLS for health care providers from the American Heart Association (AHA) 
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification Required
  • Newly hired Nurses must obtain certification within 6 months of Date of Hire.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing, knowledge and skills.  Ability to use computer driven patient care equipment.
