Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education: Graduate with a diploma or certificate of completion, from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) Respiratory Therapy Program. 

Required Licenses/Certifications: 

Must have current license to practice Respiratory Care in the State of Texas, and be credentialed (CRT or RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

Must have a current BLS and ACLS Certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Must speak and write English fluently.

Minimum of 2 years working experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).

Two (2) year’s experience in adult critical care unit.

Two (2) year’s experience in a neonatal and/or pediatric critical care unit.

SUMMARY

The Respiratory Care Supervisor is responsible for the overall daily technical operation and supervision of all patient care and related hospital activities performed during assigned shift. The Respiratory Care Supervisor assists the Director with the management and overall operation of the department.
