- Performs Echocardiograms using a departmental protocol for obtaining images.
- Assists with TEE’s and stress testing, providing images that support the physician’s ability to diagnose patients appropriately and identifies problems & implements appropriate interventions, including reporting critical values.
- Sets priorities for completion of studies based on acuity, patient preference and/or the coordination of care with nursing and other ancillary services.
- Obtains EKGs that reflect appropriate lead placement, minimal artifact, and correct patient information.
- Sets up and scans Holter Monitors, providing tracings that support the physician’s ability to diagnose patients appropriately.
- Performs related duties as required.
Performs echocardiograms, Dobutamine stress echos, treadmill stress testing, and assists with transesophageal echos.
Required:
- Education: Associate degree or professional training preferred.
- Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:
- ARDMS/RCDS or CCI/RCS Certification within 1 year of employment
- American Heart Association BLS CPR required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of job-related experience is preferred.
