Job Summary
Performs routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.
Responsibilities
- Performs general maintenance duties on electrical system in the hospital by changing fluorescent lamps and ballast as needed and replacing light switches and receptacles as needed with all repairs completed to industry standards
- Performs general maintenance duties to mechanical system in the hospital by unclogging sink drains and toilets and the replacement of faucet washers and flush valves
- Maintains aesthetics of the hospital so that the area is consistently maintained in a condition that is both pleasing and safe.
- Maintenance duties include the ability to run the generators, some understanding of the boilers, chillers, and cooling towers.
- Maintains PM, so that all scheduled PMs are completed in a timely manner and all files are up to date for Joint Commission and DHEC
- Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 2 years of experience with a contractor or work in another type of trade
- Preferred:
- Education: Some college or vocational training preferred.
