Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Echocardiography Technician to join our team on a PRN basis. This role is responsible for performing high-quality echocardiographic studies across a variety of modalities—including standard ECHO, M-mode, 2D imaging, Doppler, color flow mapping, transesophageal imaging, and Stress ECHO—and for assisting Cardiologists in the diagnostic process. The ideal candidate brings strong pediatric and/or neonatal imaging experience and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform echocardiograms and related diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Schedule, prepare, and position patients—ensuring comfort, safety, and clear communication.
• Capture, analyze, and report high-quality diagnostic images for Cardiologist interpretation.
• Recognize and document cardiac abnormalities during imaging with accuracy and clinical proficiency.
• Provide excellent patient and family support, demonstrating strong customer service skills.
• Collaborate effectively with Cardiologists, nursing staff, and fellow technologists.
Candidate Qualifications
Education
• Graduate of an approved ARDMS-accredited program.
Experience
• Pediatric, NICU, or neonatal echocardiography experience required.
• Prior experience performing echocardiographic studies under the supervision of a Certified Technician and a Cardiologist.
Certifications/Licensure (Required)
• Echocardiographic Technician Certification.
• Current CPR certification.
Preferred Certification
• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer).
