Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - ICU

Responsibilities
This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under close supervision of a licensed nurse, provides basic and intermediate nursing care for assigned group of patients based on competence.
- General Nursing Units care for patients from age 18 years to maturity. Unit specific variation may apply.
- Special Care Areas care for patients 18 years through adult with high-risk conditions.
- Maternal Child Units:
- Labor and Delivery care includes patients who have a pregnancy related condition.
- Nursery care includes care for the newborn until discharge.
- Endoscopy Unit cares for patients 18 years and older.
- Emergency Department provides care to patients of all ages.
- Behavioral Health/Gero-Psych Unit provides care for patients 17 years and older requiring psychiatric care.
Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year hospital experience
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of a current state or national nurse’s aide
certification or a certification as a phlebotomist, medical technician, patient care technician, medical
assistant, EKG tech or in another related field.
REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): BLS –Obtained through approved American Heart
Association Training Center.
