Licensed Lactation Consultant Mother Baby Unit Full Time Days
Job Details
Conducts prenatal breastfeeding classes and evaluates educational outcomes. Provides outpatient care, consultation, and home visits for families experiencing breastfeeding difficulties. Serves as consultant for physicians and other healthcare providers concerning lactation as it relates to patient's health problems.
Qualifications
Education:
Required: Academic degree in nursing or food and nutrition
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or food and nutrition
Experience:
Required: Experience working with Mother Baby couplets in low and high-risk situations
Certifications:
Required: Must be currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession (such as Registered Nurse, Registered Dietitian) as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. Must be certified as an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). AHA BLS.

Job Summary
Provides professional leadership and advanced knowledge in the practice of lactation management. Assesses patient's needs, diagnoses lactation problems, plans and implements intervention, and evaluates outcomes.
