Brookwood Baptist Medical Center: Located in Birmingham, this 588 bed facility provides the following services: Brain & Neuro, Cancer Care, Children's Services, Diagnostics, Digestive Disorders, Ear, Nose & Throat, Emergency, Gynecological Surgery, Heart Care, infertility issues, Interventional Radiology, Maternity, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Psychiatry (one of the largest providers in the State), Pulmonary and Respiratory, Rehabilitation Services, Robotic Surgery, Sleep Center, Surgical Services, Urology, Weight Loss Surgery, Women's Health, Workforce Wellness, and Wound Care.

Job Summary
Under the supervision of an RN, performs hemodynamic monitoring procedures of a highly specialized nature as well as assists the physician during all procedures. Works with patients from adolescents to geriatrics. In addition, trains Cardiovascular Technicians and other Cath Lab personnel. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities
Monitors cardiac procedures and calculates hemodynamic data; assists nursing personnel with emergency procedures; assumes responsibility for maintenance and quality control of equipment; cleans and packages instruments/supplies for sterilization; assumes role of monitor tech as needed.

Education
• Required: Graduate of an approved Radiology or Cardiology Technology program or equivalent education

Experience
• Preferred: 2 years in Interventional Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology

Certifications
• Required: ARRT, RCIS, or RCES; BLS, ACLS within 6 months of hire into position

NOTE: This role is full-time Monday-Friday and will require flexibility and ability to run the board and facilitate Cath lab cases along with other duties as assigned.
