Brookwood Baptist Medical Center: Located in Birmingham, this 588 bed facility provides the following services: Brain & Neuro, Cancer Care, Children's Services, Diagnostics, Digestive Disorders, Ear, Nose & Throat, Emergency, Gynecological Surgery, Heart Care, infertility issues, Interventional Radiology, Maternity, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Psychiatry (one of the largest providers in the State), Pulmonary and Respiratory, Rehabilitation Services, Robotic Surgery, Sleep Center, Surgical Services, Urology, Weight Loss Surgery, Women's Health, Workforce Wellness, and Wound Care.
Job Summary
The Distribution Tech is responsible for all activities assigned during their shift, to include: quality and accuracy of work produced and reports at the end of the shift as to work performed and the status of the department. Complies with all department specific policies and procedures. Identifies and reports supply, equipment, and procedure problems to the Central Supply Supervisor or Manager.
Job Responsibilities
Maintains supply stock locations. Receives and processes various supply orders. Delivers supplies to the desired destination. Builds orders for stock replenishment. Replenish crash carts and trays. Maintains and cleans stock locations. Disinfects, stores, and delivers moveable medical equipment. Loads and unloads materials within a warehouse or storage facility. Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, or other handling equipment to move material to and from the storage facility. Participates in physical inventory and cycle counts. Validate access permissions and checks in approved vendors. Works under immediate supervision. Reports to a supply chain manager or supervisor. Performs a variety of tasks as assigned.
Education
Preferred: High school or equivalent
Experience
Required: 1 year in Central Supply.
Certifications
Required: BLS
