JFK Memorial Hospital has provided medical care to residents in the Coachella Valley since 1966. A group of physicians, including Dr. Reynaldo Carreon, founded the hospital and today one of JFK’s cross streets is named in his honor.
Originally called Indio Community Hospital, JFK has grown to a 145-bed acute-care hospital that is part of Tenet Healthcare California. It offers a variety of services, including:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
1. The Anesthesia Technician assists the physician staff with anesthesia during the perioperative phase, assures equipment, supplies are available, and participates in the maintenance program.
2. The Laser Technician assists the physicians and staff during the use of the laser by assuring safety policies are followed, and maintains documentation logs.

Hours:
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
2. Assists the anesthesiologists for routine and complex cases.
3. Assists in lifting and/or transferring patients from stretcher/bed to OR table and vice versa.
4. Assists with the application of non-invasive monitoring equipment, i.e., blood pressure cuff, EKG, pulse oximeter.
5. Set-up IV and pressure lines for indwelling catheters:
a. Arterial
b. central venous
c. pulmonary artery
6. Assists with invasive and non-invasive monitoring. Set up and maintenance of a sterile field for invasive monitoring procedures.
7. Equipment maintenance and servicing such as cleaning and sterilizing, assembling, calibrating and testing, troubleshooting.
8. Demonstrate the ability to set up all anesthesia equipment and instrumentation:
· blood warmers
· invasive lines utilizing sterile techniques
· Swan
· transport monitor
· pressure transducers
· EKG
· pulse oximeter
9. Provide assistance to other support staff while recognizing own practice limitations.
10. Provide assistance with patient transport and positioning.
11. Checks, cleans, and restocks assigned service area storage areas.
12. Participates in hospital safety programs.
13. Supports and enforces infection-control policies and procedures.
14. Maintains patient and medical staff confidentiality.
15. Participates in departmental committees and meetings.
16. Any other duties that may be required.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Graduate or equivalent
2. Laser Training
3. Basic Computer Skills

Pay Range: $24.00 - $26.27 hourly **Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
