Job Summary
The Surgical Unit (Tower) Nursing Assistant (NA), under the direction of a licensed staff, gathers data for the patient, provides basic nursing care according to the plan of care. The NA accurately obtains post operative vital signs, encourages coughing and deep breathing and observes for and reports bleeding, redness, swelling or separation to surgical sites. Accurately maintains and records intake and output. Maintains patient rooms and nursing unit in a clean, organized and environmentally safe manner.
1.CPR
2.Certified Nursing Assistance Certificate or equivalent at the time of hire
3.Previous hospital experience preferred
4.Basic Computer Skills
