At Hi-Desert Medical Center (HDMC) we've been caring for our community for over 40 years. Our Continuing Care Center (CCC), located on the campus of HDMC, provides specialized care to residents close to their own communities, with spectacular panoramic views of desert landscapes for both residents and their guests
The Continuing Care Center has 120 beds and offers three distinct levels of service in semi-private rooms:
Subacute care: This is the highest level of care available in our long-term care setting. The CCC provides 25 beds dedicated to residents with ventilator and tracheostomy requirements. Clinical staff is specially trained to meet the unique needs of these patients. The CCC is one of the few facilities in Southern California providing this level of care.
Skilled nursing care: We provide long-term skilled nursing care to residents who require assistance with personal and medical needs. Care is provided to our patients who require rehabilitative therapies, wound care or recovery from accidents or invasive procedures.
Long-Term Care: We provide long-term care to residents who require assistance with personal and medical needs.

To provide quality, timely and courteous services to all Hi-Desert Medical Center’s. customers.

Primary Duties
- Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- Administers bedside haircuts and manicures.
- Checks with RN as to physical condition of resident, whether on oxygen, fluid restriction, Diabetic or capable of transfer.
- Verifies with Activities, OT and PT to work within their schedules.
- Checks with residents weekly regarding appointments. Meets new residents within 3 days of admit depending on medical condition.
- Maintains appointment/date/time form daily.
- Submits accurate charges into the Meditech system.
- Reports to the RN any visible scalp or nail disorder to determine if infection is present.
- Promote positive and professional interactions both in person and via telephone with patients/residents, family members, ancillary department staff and co-workers. Facilitate communication in accordance with confidentiality of information, respect for patients privacy and prompt response to concerns and questions.
- Greets, assists and direct visitors, patients and telephone customers (Reception Area).

- Light physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs)
- Manual dexterity and mobility
- Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching
- Occasional standing/walking
- Occasionally lifts supplies/equipment
Working Conditions
- May be exposed to aspects of care that conflict with values
- May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases
- Regularly exposed to risk of bloodborne diseases
- Subject to many interruptions
Minimum Education
- High School Diploma/GED
- Licensed Cosmetologist
Minimum Experience
- Previous healthcare experience preferred

Pay Range: $23.00 - $25.40 hourly **Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
