Position Summary
Performs a variety of duties related to the preparation and serving of food; cleans kitchen area and cooking utensils.
2503028753Responsibilities:
1. Serves patient meals on tray line, in accordance with established schedule and procedures.
2. Cleans the kitchen area and cooking utensils.
3. Carries dishes and foods between kitchen and serving lines.
4. Operates dishwasher to ensure all dishes and utensils are clean.
5. Prepares coffee and urns for food service.
6. Prepares, loads, transports, and cleans food carts.
7. Collects, processes, and disposes of trash, cans, bottles, and similar debris and transports to disposal area.
8. Trains utility personnel per utility job description.
9. Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
10. Maintains department records, reports, and files as required.
11. Participates in hospital educational programs and in-service meetings as requested.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· Previous experience in dietary/food service preferred
· San Bernardino County Food Handler’s Certification (may be obtained 14 days after hire)
