Primary Duties:
1. Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, qualify improvement program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
2. Provide direct physical therapy to patients per plan of care
3. Provide instructions in therapeutic procedures to be continued by the patient.
4. Maintain active and support communication with the physical therapist/patient/caregiver regarding progress, problems, home programs and other issues related to the therapeutic process.
5. Prepare written documentation as required by the profession and the department such as daily treatment notes, and progress reports.
6. Communicate observations, facts and comments with the interdisciplinary team.
7. Attend patient care conferences and other related meetings.
8. Enhance professional growth and development through participation in education programs, current literature, workshops and inservice meetings.
9. Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of all cultural and age groups, predominantly the geriatric and dying patient.

Position Qualifications
Minimum Education
· Completion of an accredited program for Physical Therapy Assistant
Minimum Experience
· 2 year’s experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
Required Certification/Registration
· CPR Certification
· California Physical Therapy Assistant License
· Valid CA Driver’s license
· Current automobile insurance.
Preferred Courses/Training
· Home Health Experience
Skills:
· Current driver’s license
· Continuous automobile insurance coverage
Physical Demands
· Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking
· Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients
· Lifts supplies/equipment
Shift: Days
Hours: 0830 - 1700

Pay Range: $30.50 - $47.25 hourly **Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
