Optician De La Pena Eye Clinic Long Beach
Long Beach, California TPR/CPM StaffBilingual Spanish-speaker highly preferred!
This position is responsible for all dispensing and optical activities. This includes all technical procedures of fitting, necessary bench work and allied optical procedures. Included also will be any necessary clerical functions required to satisfy patient needs which may include acting as liaison between pertinent departments.
Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Graduate of an opticianry / optician training program or on-the-job training
Certifications:
Required: Active CPR/BLS through an AHA accredited program or agency
Experience and Responsibilities
Required:
Some experience & knowledge working as a Dispensing Optician
Available and willing to travel to various clinic locations
Must be able to work some Saturdays, as required
Preferred:
2 years’ experience as a dispensing optician
Previous experience with Eligibility and Authorizations preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
Good manual dexterity and ability to operate variety of medical equipment
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Computer skills for use with electronic medical records and inventory system
Ability to work with co-workers in a team setting
Good hand-eye coordination
Strong aptitude for mathematics
Attention to detail
