Job Summary

Job Type: Full time

Job Shift: Days

Holiday Rotation:

Department: Anesthesia

Collaborates with anesthesia providers, Biomedical engineering, Surgical department leadership
and materials management to: maintain the inventory of anesthesia related supplies and
equipment, clean and organize as needed, assist with patient transport, room / equipment
“turnover” between patients, and perform the basic checks and preventative maintenance on the
anesthesia equipment. Assist Anesthesiologist and licensed personnel in the delivery of patient
care. Performs other duties as required. Position is responsible for all anesthesia sites within
Doctors Hospital of Manteca facilities.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience: Certified Anesthesia Technician preferred, and/or a minimum of two (2) years of recent OR experience in an acute care setting. 

Licenses/Certifications: 

• Healthcare Provider BLS required. 
• Certified Anesthesia Technician preferred 

Skill/Knowledge/Abilities:

• Knowledge of HIPAA and other applicable regulations, including patient confidentiality and risk management.
• Ability to communicate clearly and with courtesy, following lines of authority as appropriate.
• Proficiency in the use of computers and telecommunications in documentation, tracking and conveying information.  
• Experience with healthcare materials management processes preferred.
• Ability to retain composure while working in a fast paced, ever changing environment.  
• Analytical and grammatical skills necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.  Must be fluent in spoken and written English.  
• Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
