The Certified Nurses Assistant on the Multi-Specialty Unit is accountable for providing nursing care for patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: HIGH SCHOOL OR EQUIVALENT Preferred
EXPERIENCE: 0-3 MONTHS
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: Current State of California C.N.A. certification and Current Healthcare Provider BLS.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of HIPAA and other applicable regulations, including patient confidentiality and risk management.
- Ability to perform competent patient care for all ages, acuities and conditions, including
ensuring age-specific care and responding to cultural needs of patients and families. - Ability to communicate clearly and with courtesy with all members of the healthcare team, following lines of authority as appropriate.
- Proficiency in the use of computers and telecommunications in documentation, tracking and conveying information.
- Ability to retain composure while working in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
- Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
- Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
